BECOMING A MEMBER

This page is under construction. Please check back for information regarding how to be come a member of GVKC.

We welcome new members to the Genesee Valley Kennel Club and look forward to meeting prospective members at club events, our weekly handling class, and our monthly meetings.  We are looking for people who appreciate and want to learn more about dogs and who may be interested in competing or participating in various dog sports and competitions.  The GVKC offers a welcoming community and a broad range of activities  and we welcome all dogs, both purebred and mixed breed, in many of our events.

To begin the membership process, we recommend that you attend at least one GVKC-sponsored event, which will give you a chance to meet club members, and ask any questions you might have.  Our monthly general membership meetings are always open to guests, as are most of our activities.  To be eligible for membership, you are required to submit an application and attend at least three general membership meetings in a six-month period.  Once accepted for membership you can take advantage of reduced prices for some of our activities.  You will also be asked to help at club functions and events.
