WHO’S DOG IS READY TO DO THE 100 YARD DASH?????
We will hold our first official AKC FCAT trials on September 19 & 20, 2026.
Entry opening date July 15, 2026 at noon. Closing date is September 9 at 1 PM. Day of Entries will only be taken if a trial does not fill by September 9, 2026.
Two (2) trials per day, 125 maximum entries per trial.
A dog can only do one run per trial per AKC rules. A rerun will be offered in the case of equipment or other type of unexpected failure during a run. The trial chair has the final say on whether a rerun is appropriate.
Open to any dog but per AKC rules, the dog must be at least 1 year old and have an AKC registration number. See the link below to find out how to get a registration number.
LOCATION
East Winds Farm, 2019 Riser Road, Canandaigua, NY. This is the same location we hold our Barn Hunt trials, DOTCORNY holds their FCAT trials and there are other Barn Hunt Trials.

TRIAL DETAILS
Before arriving, make sure you have at least two leads for each dog and a helper to release or catch your dog. There will be people available to help with this if you don’t have a partner to come with you. Wear appropriate shoes. NO open or expose toes or feet allowed anywhere on the trial grounds.
Both days will have the following time blocks. You can choose a time block on the entry form.
8-9 AM: Worker/Volunteer runs.
9-10 AM: 20 dogs, two runs each.
10-11 AM: 20 dogs, two runs each.
11-Noon: 20 dogs, two runs each.
Noon-1 PM LUNCH
1-2 PM: 20 dogs, two runs each.
2-3 PM: 20 dogs, two runs each.
3-4 PM: 20 dogs, two runs each.
4-5 PM: 5 dogs, two runs each plus any overflow runs.
When you arrive for your scheduled run time, please go to the check in area. You will be get run tickets and be directed to the health check. Only dogs who pass the health check will be allowed to proceed to the run wait area. There will be a golf cart available to transport the catch person to the catch area.
On the way back from each run, Earned Q ribbons will be available at the secretary table.
RIBBONS
Q ribbons and run sticker will be available for every qualifying run. We are also offering rosettes for FCAT, BCAT and DCAT points completion. You will need to request one of these if you know your dog has obtained the required number of points. We will make every effort to have these available at the trial, but if not, we will take your information and mail one to you.
